Sometimes, we get snow or ice storms making driving more dangerous. Sometimes the range is closed, or I don’t have the time to drive all the way there. It’s a little cramped, but when I can’t make it out the range, I can still shoot.
This little setup involves me standing a few steps down, on a landing leading into the basement, while shooting at a target propped up on a folding chair in the hallway. It’s only a couple meters away, and I haven’t missed yet, but there’s always the worry of putting holes in the wall. It really helps me to maintain focus, and not get sloppy.
